Should fiction be clearly labeled?

Hi all,

A question came to mind when I was thinking about the Benjamin Stove site: should digital fiction be clearly labeled as such?

Books are clearly marked, fiction or non, do you think that websites should be?

The lines blur with ARGs, but I see a problem with people not realising that it's a game/fiction. In "traditional" RPGs, all players completely understand that it is a game, and they seek it out. MUDs and MMORPGs are all destinations for people who are seeking a game and generally know what they're entering into.

When your work is on a web page, and could be construed to be factual when it is indeed fiction, do you think that the author should specifically state it as such, or do you think that it's up to the audience to figure it out for themselves?
